M.CT.M MUN began in 2025. The second edition is organised by the current IB1 batch of M.CT.M Chidambaram Chettyar International School.
Research it, argue it, and get a resolution through a room that does not agree with you.
Model United Nations puts students in the seats of diplomats. Each delegate represents a country, defends its position in committee, and works the room until a resolution can pass.
The conference runs on the school campus in Chennai. Seven committees sit across two days in September, and every chairperson, vice chairperson and moderator is a student of the school.
The 2026 edition is run by the IB1 batch under Ms. Shrilekha and Ms. Kiran, with the support of Ms. Sangita Varma, Head of the International School.
- Feedback in committeeFifteen minutes are set aside on both days, so delegates hear where they stand before the final session rather than after it.
- Certificates a week earlyParticipation certificates are written before the conference opens. Award names reach the writers by noon on the second day.
- Register on your ownDelegates no longer need an accompanying adult to attend. A signed waiver replaces the requirement.
- Best Delegation on meritThe award totals the individual awards a school wins, not the number of delegates it sends.
